4 Tools to Engage your Webcast Audience:
In 2016 we post pictures, tweets, create discounts, host events, or write Facebook posts to engage with our audience: But what if you could accomplish all of these things at once to engage multiple people? Well you could host a webcast. But once we decide to host one there are things you need to do before hitting that record button.
Clear Messaging: Thoroughly think through your messaging, write it down: Make sure it’s something your audience will want or needs to hear. Collaborate with other influencers to get ideas, and get the message out that your webcast is happening! Be clear on the date, time and web page where the event is taking place. As these things are essential when you are hosting a live web event. Get the message out by sending it to your audience. Getting one or two key influencers endorsing your message and event can gain more of an audience. Present messaging beforehand by giving your audience an idea of what will be discussed or what’s happening in your webcast, so that people will tune in.
Images: When there is too much content and images even the best speech can go wary and get lost in the content overload. But images can make audience members understand complex ideas. Also, it refreshes the minds of the audience. So, choose relevant images that will enhance the presentation. Do not use large or vibrant images/set props that distract from your presentation.
Content is king: Too much information on slides can create a headache. Give key points on slide shows. If additional information is required then give a handout to the audience. Make sure the audience gets just the right amount of information that they feel like they got something out of your presentation.
Make it interactive: Webcasts are not always interactive. But you can include polls and pointers to make the session interactive. You can also use social media plugins so your audience at home on their tablets and computers can interact with your content. Ensure the end user is engaged to your video.
Most of all have a fun webcast so people will want to tune in!
